Bruce Peninsula residents are blessed with excellent Doctors, Nurses and support staff at hospitals in Lion’s Head and Wiarton. Many people contribute financially or volunteer of their time to make our hospital care the envy of those in large centers.
Recently, our community embraced a campaign which honored my late wife, Catherine Macmillan. $42,000 was raised to replace two 20 year-old Electro-Cardiogram machines!
With our aging population, needs like these will continue well into the future and long after many of us are gone. Because of this, I think it’s an appropriate and generous gesture to seriously consider leaving a legacy gift for the hospital in our Will.
For some, it is difficult to discuss one’s mortality. However, what better legacy could each of us leave behind than life-saving facilities and equipment for our families, friends and neighbours?
I believe God has a special place for those individuals who walk quietly throughout their day helping others where and when they are able, comforting and assisting the poor and trying to make a genuine improvement in the lives of fellow man.
Please consider giving a “portion” of your estate to your hospital. Do it for the good health of your family, friends and neighbors.
What better way to be acknowledged than through unselfishly helping others?
